[Nietzsche] You feel bored because your personal growth has stopped

The harder something is to obtain, the more desperately we want it. However, once it becomes ours and some time passes, we begin to feel as if it is useless. This is true whether it is an object or a person. We get bored because we have already obtained it and become accustomed to it. But that is because we are bored with ourselves. We grow tired because what we have obtained does not change within us. In other words, we lose interest because our feelings toward the object do not change. Ultimately, the less a person continues to grow, the more easily they feel bored. On the contrary, a person who is constantly growing as a human being is constantly changing, so even if they possess the same thing, they never feel bored.

- Excerpt from 'Thus Spoke Nietzsche' -

People whose own growth has stopped feel bored. I rarely get bored of anything. Does that mean I am constantly growing? I don't know. It must mean that everything—my heart, body, thoughts, and abilities—is changing. The world is interesting. And, truth be told, I find myself the most interesting. No matter how much I think about it and rethink it, 'I' am a new and fascinating existence. And, I am the most hypocritical. To be considerate of others, I must hide and sacrifice myself. Even without knowing if that is truly consideration for the other person or not. However, since I know all too well what the result is when I share my thoughts without such consideration, I think this is the right way.

And, from now on, I will not perform any actions that involve showing or revealing things. It seems that hiding myself is more helpful to me in living in today's world.

Those who are stagnant feel bored easily.
